Chris Neild Tears ACL – Out For Season

Yesterday, second-year player Chris Neild left Redskins practice with a knee injury. An MRI performed today revealed a torn ACL.
Neild will miss the entire season.
“Chris [Neild] is a fighter, and this is just a setback,” Redskins head coach mike Shanahan said.
Neild was a solid player for the Redskins during his rookie season. He burst on the scene during Week 1 of the 2011 regular season with two sacks against Giants’ quarterback, Eli Manning. He made solid contributions for the team throughout last season, and hoped to grow as a player this year.
