Tyler Urban Cut By the Patriots

TestudoTimes.com

Tyler Urban signed as an undrafted free-agent with Tampa Bay following the NFL Draft. The team released him shortly thereafter and he signed with the New England Patriots.

Urban’s size, speed, and playing style fit the Patriots system with the likes of Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski. Unfortunately for Urban, the team loaded up on tight ends during the offseason.

He will now go through waivers, and if no team claims him, he is a good candidate to make the Patriots practice squad.

He had one catch for 20 yards in the Preseason.
