Our Countdown to Kickoff series here on WVUPros.com continues today with No. 73 Jake Figner, who played both right tackle and guard along the West Virginia offensive line.
He started all but four games during his career at West Virginia from 2005-2008, and started all but one between his sophomore and senior seasons.
During his time with West Virginia, Figner was part of one of the best periods in the history of the football program, including a 42-9 run and four consecutive bowl games victories over the Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Oklahoma Sooners and North Carolina Tar Heels. In addition to that success, Figner blocked for some of the greatest rushers of that era like Pat White, Noel Devine, Owen Schmidt and Steve Slaton.
You can find all of our past selections in our countdown to this point from No. 100 through No. 74 here on WVUPros.com.
