The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed linebacker Terence Garvin to a one-year contract for the 2015 season, the franchise announced on their website Friday afternoon.
The deal will be worth the veteran third-year minimum of $580,000, if he remains on the Pittsburgh roster next season.
Garvin, who signed with Pittsburgh as an undrafted rookie free agent in May 2013, collected 15 special teams tackles for the 2014 AFC North Champions. He also had nine special teams tackles in his rookie season.
As a West Virginia Mountaineer, Garvin tallied 235 tackles with 24.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks in 47 games played from 2009 through 2012. He also added three forced fumbles and three interceptions, which one of those interceptions he returned for a pick-six touchdown in the Mountaineers’ 37-31 road win over Maryland in September 2011.
