578 1

Kevin Jones told us last month in an interview that he was headed overseas to explore his options. Now, according to Sportando, he is close to signing a deal with Cholet in France.

He would play in the same league as a few familiar faces: John Flowers and Da’Sean Butler.

Kevin Jones is close to signing with Cholet to replace Michael Wright, according to sources.

Kevin Jones, who has played 32 games in the NBA with the Cavaliers (2.9 points per game), spent his last two seasons in D-League with Canton Charge averaging 18.2 points and 8.8 rebounds.

I say from WVU colored glasses and also from Celtic colored glasses. He was a heck of a ballplayer for WVU, reminded me much of Cedric ‘Cornbread’ Maxwell for the Celts. Not a giant, but a man in the paint. Hands, quickness, twitch. whatever he’d get the ball and put back in. OK, maybe Kevin isn’t quite Cornbread, but he’s close enough. If my consolation prize is a $2-400K and visiting every great city in Europe I could suffer that…
