WVUPros on the Hardwood Report: Big games from big men on the international circuit

This week’s edition of the WVUPros on the Hardwood Report features updates from Poland, France, Israel, the Czech Republic, Russia, Mexico and Germany as WVUPros hit the hardwood worldwide.

Dan Jennings- In two games this past week, Dan Jennings posted totals of 20 and 18 points respectively in losses to the Gigantes and Pioneros. In the 94-86 loss Wednesday, Jennings shot 8-for-12 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line, while pulling down 14 rebounds. Two nights later in a 112-78 loss, Jennings shot 8-for-14 and pulled down eight boards. Jennings and Jefes (18-18) have two games this week: on Wednesday against Gansos and Friday against Soles.

D’or Fischer- In a 82-75 victory over VEF Riga Sunday, Fischer scored 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds for Unics (11-7 VTB, 4-2 Eurocup Group G). The Mountaineer center was 6-of-10 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line in the win. Unics will next lace them up for a this coming Sunday for a match up against N Novgorod, who is 15-3 on the season in Russia.

Dalton Pepper- In Poland on Friday, Dalton Pepper and MKS DG (7-13) defeated Polfarmex KT 86-80. Pepper converted on five of his eight attempts from the field and three of his four from the free throw line for a total of 13 points to go along with four rebounds and an assist. MKS DG will next play on February 28 against Toruni.

Truck Bryant- In a 94-85 victory on Friday against BK Opava, Bryant scored 23 points in 22 minutes for BK Kolin (11-20).

The Mountaineer point guard hit 12 free throws in the game to go along with his six rebounds and five assists. BK Kolin next plays on February 25 against NH Ostrava.

Alex Ruoff- Ruoff scored 13 points for Goettingen (10-12) on Friday in a one-point loss to Telekon BSK. Ruoff hit two from behind the arc and had two assists and a rebound in 38 minutes. Ruoff will next take to the court in Germany Friday against the Walter Tigers.

Da’Sean Butler- Chalons-Reims (10-11) defeated Cholet on Thursday, 88-70 in France. Butler posted nine rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes. He shot 1-of-4 from the field, with his make a three pointer, and 1-of-3 from the line for a total of four points. Butler will next take the floor on February 28 against Rougen.

Joe Alexander- Joe Alexander played just three scoreless minutes in Maccabi Tel-Aviv’s 66-59 loss Thursday to ALBA. Alexander missed his only attempt from behind the arc. Tel Aviv (17-2 Winners League, 5-2 Eurocup Group E) will next lace them up this coming Sunday against Bnei Hertzel.
