Here’s what you need to know if you have any Mountaineers stashed on your fantasy rosters headed into Sunday.
Wendell Smallwood: With Ryan Matthews sidelined again, Smallwood looks to get the bulk of the work out of the backfield for the Eagles. He has enjoyed double-digit touches in each of the last three games, and that should continue against the Bengals. Smallwood has gotten the bulk of his touches on the ground, and he could break out against the Bengals 28th ranked rush defense.
Tavon Austin: The Rams listed Austin as Doubtful with a chest injury heading into their matchup at New England. Leave him on your bench.
Bruce Irvin, Karl Joseph, Oakland Raiders Defense: Outside of Khalil Mack, the Raiders came into this season with an almost completely revamped defense. After the first few weeks, the Raiders were near the bottom of the league in total defense. The additions of Irvin and the rookie Joseph–who entered the starting lineup in Week 3–has helped the Raiders’ D to move slowly up the charts. This week they play against Buffalo’s 19th ranked offense offering a more favorable matchup. That said, there are sixteen other teams in the league with a better chance of scoring your fantasy team points for defense in Week 13.
