We continue our 2017-18 NFL previews by examining the Houston Texans’ S K.J. Dillon’s past, present, and future.

The Past: Dillon got off to a great start in his rookie season with the Texans before tearing his ACL after five games and missing the rest of the season.

The Present: The Texans lack depth and a playmaker at strong safety, which is something Dillon showed flashes of being able to do as a rookie. He will battle Corey Moore and Eddie Pleasant for the job.

The Future: The Texans hope Dillon returns to the field healthy to start camp. They love his ability to make plays in the passing game and step down into the box against the run. Should he pick up where he left off as a rookie, look for the hard-hitting Dillon to start in Week 1 of the Regular Season.
