The WVU hoops star is set to represent the Mountaineers on the the WNBA’s biggest stage.

The Sun pounded the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday 78-56 to head to the WNBA Finals. Holmes added 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 20 minutes off the bench.

Holmes was selected 11th overall in the 2016 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream and was traded to her home state Connecticut prior to the 2018 season. She did not play that season due to pregnancy and came back this year to provide the Sun a spark off the bench. The trade to Connecticut allowed her to be near her family and home town.

She played in 34 games this season, averaging just over 6 points a game in 15 minutes per game.

Bria Holmes and the Sun will await the winner of the series between the Washington Mystics and the Las Vegas Aces.
