Although Chris Neild is entering his fourth season in the NFL, he has only played two years. During training camp for his second year in the league, he tore the ACL in his left knee and missed the entire season. Now, it is feared that he tore the ACL in his right knee on Thursday night.
Neild started the game for the Redskins against the Bucs. He went down late in the first quarter while defending a run play and had to be carted off the field. Immediately, a few of his fellow D-line teammates from WVU–still a very tight-knit group–went to Twitter to express their thoughts for their fallen comrade.
Praying for my bro @TruckNeild

Following the game, Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said that Neild was undergoing tests on his knee. They feared that he had torn his ACL.
Our thoughts are with Chris and his family as we await the final word on the injury.
