The Cleveland Cavs announced this afternoon that they have re-assigned Kevin Jones to the Canton Charge. He played in 15 games for the Cavs, averaging 1.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in nine minutes per game.
Jones stood out in the five games he played with the Canton Charge at the beginning of the D-League season. He recorded double-doubles in four of those contests before being added to the Cavs’ roster on Dec. 4th. He averaged 23.6 points and 12.6 rebounds during his first go-round with the Charge. He will now have the opportunity to get more playing time in the Cavs’ organization as he continues to develop.
Jones should be in uniform tonight for the Charge as he re-joins his old club and old Mountaineer teammate Alex Ruoff on the court against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The game starts at 7:00 pm EST and you can watch the game here.
When the Cavs re-signed Jones from the Charge, they had to release former Notre Dame player Luke Harangody to create room on the roster. Harangody now plays for Fort Wayne and will match-up against Jones in tonight’s game.
