According to Alex Kennedy, Devin Ebanks will re-sign with the Lakers for one season. The team recently offered him a one-year, $1 million tender causing him to be a restricted free-agent.

Ebanks sought a multi-year deal and had interest from other teams. He said all along that he would like to stay with the Lakers.

The first team Ebanks’ and his agent met with, and heard from, after the beginning of free-agency was the Lakers. We thought he might be on the verge of re-signing with the team after he showed up on the Lakers Summer League Roster yesterday.

The Lakers begin play in the Las Vegas Summer League this Friday vs. Golden State.

After being the 43rd pick for the Lakers in the 2010 NBA Draft, Ebanks found himself in and out of the Lakers rotation. He has shown promise over his first two seasons, and Kobe Bryant took Ebanks under his wing.

Update 4:20 p.m.:

Lakers reporter, Mark Medina, revealed that Ebanks signed a 1-Year $1.4 million deal with the Lakers. $400K more than was originally offered. Ebanks made just over $700K last season. He will almost double his salary.
