After last season, Kevin Jones tested the water for the NBA Draft, and elected to come back to WVU for his senior season to try to improve his draft stock. Jones went on to have one of the best seasons in not only Mountaineer history, but in the nation.
On the season, Jones averaged a double-double with 20.1 ppg. and 11.1 rpg. He had 21 double-doubles and scored over 20 points in a game 19 times. On a freshman laden team, Jones was the main reason the Mountaineers spent time in the Top-25 and made the NCAA Tournament this season.
Jones certainly improved his draft stock by returning to Morgantown for one more season. By having one more season under Bob Huggins, Jones improved his offensive and rebounding numbers, and he showed he was a leader of the team as well. On June 28th, you can expect for Jones to get his named called in the NBA Draft and become the next WVU Pro.
