The annual NFL Combine held in Indianapolis is the NFL’s chance to test, workout, poke and prod prospective future employees. Players will go through interviews, tests and drills in an effort to catch someone’s eye and climb up draft boards.
Stedman Bailey is the first confirmed Mountaineer on the list of invites. Geno Smith and Tavon Austin are likely to attend as well.
Last season, Bailey led the FBS in receiving touchdowns with 25 (setting a school record) and had 1,622 yards from 114 receptions averaging nearly 125 yards per game. In his three-year career, he had 210 receptions for 3,218 yards and 41 TDs.
He enters a draft class already deep at receiver where some believe — at this point — that Bailey is the 14th best receiver available. We will have a full preview as to Bailey’s draft prospects in the near future.
Bailey redshirted as a freshman when he came to Morgantown with fellow high school teammate Geno Smith and is on his way to receiving his degree.
