Tavon Austin was one of the most anticipated participants at this year’s NFL Combine. While he wasn’t expected to make waves in the 40-yard dash, many believed he could shatter records in the 3-cone drill and the shuttle. In his interview at the combine on Saturday, he said he was the fastest and best all-around player in the draft.
Did he back up those statements during the on-field workouts? As it turned out, Austin may have boosted his draft stock more than any other skill position player at the combine.
He was the second wideout to run and nearly broke Chris Johnson’s combine record with a 4.25 (unofficially). He looked great in his on-field drills catching the ball, rarely missing.
We will have much more on Austin in the coming days. For now, here are his official NFL Combine results.
