During this time of the year, between basketball and football, there are not many opportunities to watch the West Virginia Mountaineers, past or present.

If you have access to ESPN3, this Saturday evening gives us an opportunity to watch up to three different former Mountaineers.

First, at 7:00 p.m., the Montreal Alouettes play the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Noel Devine is the starting kick returner for the Als, and Avon Cobourne may suit up for the Tiger-Cats for the first time this season.

Cobourne played for the Alouettes for several seasons, and won 2 Grey Cup Titles with the team. After his contract expired, the Als chose not to re-sign the Mountaineers All-Time leading rusher. They decided to go with a younger player at running back.

UPDATE: Devine was a last minute scratch for the Alouettes. No reason was given.

Then at 8:20, probably around halftime of the Als/Tiger-Cats game, you can click over and watch another of the true Mountaineer greats as Darryl Talley gets inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Talley will be only the fifth WVU player enshrined in the HOF, and the fourth overall. He joins Ira Rodgers, Joe Stydahar, Bruce Bosley and Major Harris as the only players. Don Nehlen is also enshrined.

Talley set a WVU record for tackles (484) that stood for 21 years until Grant Wiley broke it. He also recorded 19 sacks in his career. He went on to have a long, successful NFL career playing primarily for Buffalo, then Atlanta and Minnesota.

If you tuned into ESPN3 earlier today, you had the chance to see Ray Gaddis and the Philadelphia Union.
