By our count, there are 5 different Mountaineers playing pro basketball domestically. All five could have been in action this weekend, but the elements cancelled games for Lionel Armstead and Kevin Pittsnogle. However, Da’Sean Butler, Casey Mitchell, and Devin Ebanks all were in action. Below are the recaps of those Mountaineers that saw action during this past weekend.

Casey Mitchell

Mitchell splits time between being a starter and coming off the bench for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Whether he starts or not, Mitchell gets a starters share of minutes. The Skyforce split a two-game set with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Casey Mitchell led the Skyforce on Friday night with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists in their 106-102 victory. Mitchell was on fire during the second quarter scoring 18 of his 24 in the period. You can catch the highlights here.

Saturday was a different story for Mitchell and the Skyforce as they lost that game 93-97 after having a 79-74 lead during the 4th quarter. The Mad Ants hit three 3-pointers in a row, and Sioux Falls was never able to recover. Mitchell had 15 points in that game. You can watch the highlights of that game here.

Da’Sean Butler

The Austin Toros went into their two-game set at Idaho with a league-best 15-4 record. They added two more victories over the weekend. Butler had 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists in the game on Friday night. Butler played 36 minutes in the game. The highlights are here.

The San Antonio Spurs told the Toros management to keep a close watch on Butler’s minutes as he continues to get his surgically repaired knee healthy. Butler played 5 less minutes in the Toros 106-92 victory over the Stampede, but he still scored 8 points, had 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. You can watch the highlights here.

Remember to vote for Da’Sean Butler and Casey Mitchell for the NBADL All-Star Game. You can vote everyday until Friday, Feb 3.
