Here is a recap of the week that was among Mountaineers on the hardwood around the world.

Joe Alexander - On Saturday night, Alexander returned from a broken wrist injury for the Santa Cruz Warriors. He had not played since March 22. He scored one point off the bench in a blowout loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in Game 2 of the semi finals in the D-League Playoffs. That evened the best-of-3 series up at one a piece.

In the rubber game of the series, Alexander again came off the bench, but this time contributed 12 points as he helped the Warriors defeat RGV and advance to the D-League Finals where they will play the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The time and dates for the finals have yet to be announced.

Darryl “Truck” Bryant - Bryant put together an All-League season in his first year with the Furstenfeld Panthers (Austria). Their season came to a close on Sunday in a playoff loss to Kapfenberg. On the season, he finished in the Top 10 in the league in points (18.2), assists (3.8) and steals per game (1.7) and earned an All-Star Game selection.

Kevin Jones - Jones helped the San Miguel Beermen (Philippines) to secure the No. 2 seed in the 2014 PLDT Home Tvolution PBA Commissioner’s Cup with a 93-85 come from behind win over Air21 last Wednesday. Jones led the way for the Beer with 18 points and 14 rebounds including the go-ahead 3-pointer during the fourth quarter. 

John Flowers - JL Bourg (France) won against Hyeres-Toulon last Friday with Flowers contributing 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

Alex Ruoff - BG Goettingen (Germany) swept the first two games of their playoff semifinal series against Giessen. Ruoff was instrumental in both victories, scoring 12 points and adding 6 assists in the first game and had 15 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in the second W on Monday.

They will play Game 3 on Friday.

Deniz Kilicli - “The Turk” played 20 minutes for Anadolu Efes (Turkey) on Sunday, scoring 2 points and adding 3 rebounds in an 84-78 win over Tofas.

D’or Fischer - The shotblocker extraordinaire came off the bench for Brose Baskets (Germany) on Monday, scoring 5 points and swatting 2 shots.
