UConn’s victory over Kentucky on Monday night signaled the beginning of the end for basketball season around the globe. Once the NCAA Championship game transpires, other leagues worldwide are in the process of wrapping up their regular seasons. The NBA D-League Playoffs get underway this week and several European clubs are jockeying for playoff positioning.

Let’s take a look at what your favorite WVUPros have done on the hardwood in the last week, including the end of Devin Ebanks season:

Joe Alexander

Alexander’s comeback hit a small snag when he suffered a leg injury two weeks ago unrelated to the broken leg that kept him off the court for an extended time. He did not play this last weekend in the two Santa Cruz Warriors’ wins, but play-by-play announcer Kevin Danna tells us he is getting better.

The Warriors postseason begins on Thursday night against the LA Defenders.

Devin Ebanks

Ebanks returned from a 5-game suspension this past weekend and came off the bench for the Springfield Armor against the Delaware 87ers. The Armor swept both games, with Ebanks scoring 21 points on Friday and 15 on Saturday. The Armor did not make the D-League Playoffs, bringing Ebanks’ season to an end.

Truck Bryant

The Bryant-led Furstenfeld Panthers earned a first-round bye in the Austrian Pro-A Bundesliga Playoffs. They will meet the Kapfenberg Bulls to start the quarterfinals this Sunday. Bryant averaged 18.4 points per game in his first season with the team.

Da’Sean Butler

Okapi Aalstar (Belgium) split the two games in which they played last week. The loss on April 2nd against Kangoeroes snapped a three-game win streak for Okapi. Butler had 13 in that game.

The team turned it around on Saturday, taking down Liège 87-81. Butler scored 15 in that contest.

John Flowers

Bourg (France Pro-A League) won a close game on the 4th against Chalons-Reims 79-77. Flowers had 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Alex Ruoff

BG Göttingen began their playoff series against ETB Wohnbau on Saturday. Let by Ruoff, Göttingen led from the opening tip on their way to winning 79-58. Ruoff had 15 points and 6 assists in the game.

Deniz Kilicli

Anadolu Efes (Turkey) lost on Monday to Besiktas 71-57. Kilicli played four minutes and scored 1 point and had 2 rebounds.

D’or Fischer

On Saturday, Fischer led the way for Brose Baskets in an 82-71 win over Phoenix Hagen. He had a team-high 20 points to go along with 8 rebounds.
