Fresh off representing his home country of Puerto Rico in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, former WVU basketball player Gary Browne is heading to Turkey.

You might remember Browne hitting a game-winner during the FIBA World Championship to lift Puerto Rico over Tunisia. Watch it here.

Overseas, Browne played in Israel the last two seasons. Last year he posted averages of 14 points and 5 assists.

When the Euroleague is out of season, Browne returns to Puerto Rico to play. He played for Atléticos de San Germán in 2017 where he was named the BSN Most Valuable Player and Most Improved Player.

He signed with Darüssafaka in Istanbul who begins play on September 28th against Buyukcekmece and a familiar face: Deniz Kilicli.
